This sublime Venetian glass decanter 'a canne verticale', with alternating vertical canes of lavender and blue glass and unground globular stopper, is meticulous in its workmanship--absolutely flawless. The color, clarity of the glass, and the mesmerizing patterns they form make this one of the most beautiful vintage Italian pieces I've come across in a long time. Though unlabeled or signed, we believe this is a Fratelli Toso due to the stopper design, which is identical to those in similar marked Fratelli Toso pieces. Though we've seen this design advertised as a Venini, most Venini production past the 1930s was signed, and this is not.
