This AMAZING C.1960s 29" tall flat/round Italian glass decanter in charcoal grey was reportedly manufactured in MURANO (not in Italy's Empoli region where most glass of this type was produced) for Paul's, a well-known NYC furniture/design store back in the day. With Paul's bankruptcy, it sat in storage for over 50 years! I purchased this from some of the lucky folks who bought inventory.
So what we have here is NEW/OLD stock--which, generally speaking, would be the holy grail of vintage glass except for the fact that time in storage has taken a bit of a toll on this sleeping beauty in the way of condensation-related damage to the interior. I would describe it as areas of cloudiness on the bottle's interior that, upon close inspection, are tiny crystals called 'crizzling.' None of this has ANY impact on the display of this monumental blast of mid-century style and visually, but it is a damaged piece and has been priced accordingly.

CONDITION: Light interior 'crizzling' and the height and narrow base may make it a bit wobbly (I'd put some sand in the base to stabilize it).
