You're looking at an awesome and BIG piece of vintage mid-century Empoli glass--it stands 21" tall and is nearly 8" wide. This beauty was originally sold as a beverage dispenser--notice the hole at the bottom of the 'jar' where the cork used to go. This is classic Empoli VERDE glass, green from the minerals in the Empoli soil. IMPORTANT NOTE: The polished pontil is large enough to allow this bottle to stand on its own in a display, but it is NOT stable enough to be in a place where it might be accidentally touched. This decanter came with a green metal 'grapes and vines' stand, which I've finally gotten around to photographing. You would want this stand only if you planned to serve beverages from this beautiful piece of vintage glass. Otherwise, frankly, it doesn't have much display value.
DIMENSIONS (Without stand): ~21" tall x 7.5" in widest diameter. The stand adds about another 12 inches in height.
CONDITION: Light scratches, small bubbles from production throughout.
