MURANO Gold-Flecked Old Venetian Style Glass Centerpiece | Platter | Bowl With Grapes
Murano glass makers have been replicating the opulent and often fruit-laden Murano glass designs of the 18th and 19th centuries throughout the 20th century and this large beautiful "old world Venetian-style" gold-flecked Murano centerpiece/platter/bowl in the manner of Seguso Vetri D'Arte is most likely a more recent creation, though I am unable to date this responsibly at all due to the lack of a significant surface to examine base wear. I believe it's more recent because part of the artistry of the early Murano works was the thinness and lightness of the glass. This piece is done in thicker, heavier glass and has a real heft to it! My best guess is that this piece was done by a contemporary maker (late 20th, early 21st century) as an homage to the classic Murano styles of the past.
This beautiful piece is LARGE -- 14" long, 7" wide, and roughly 6" tall. There may be a sharp edge or two along the base, but nothing significant enough to classify as damage.

CONDITION: Excellent, possible sharp edges along bottom edge, no chips, cracks, damage, etc.
